Sèvres Plate
Limited Edition
£175.00
A limited edition of 500.
Presented in a hand made gift box with a numbered certificate.
The design of this Limited Edition Plate is taken directly from a Sèvres plate in the Royal Collection. Bought by George IV in 1809 from the Earl of Essex, the service became known as the Essex Service and dates from around 1770. The central spray of flowers and fruit is surrounded by a turquoise blue border known as 'bleu celeste', favoured for its rarity and high price. Today the service is occasionally used at State Banquets.
Made entirely by hand by our skilled artisans in Stoke-on-Trent using traditional methods unchanged for over 250 years, using English fine bone china, highly regarded around the world for its whiteness, fineness and delicacy. Finished with 22 carat gold.
Diameter 27.5 cm.
Bespoke box 3 x 34 x 34 cm.
