Queen Elizabeth II became Britain’s longest reigning monarch on Wednesday 9th September 2015. This momentous milestone surpassed Queen Victoria, the great-great-grandmother of Queen Elizabeth. To celebrate the occasion, this exclusive memorabilia range was launched and includes this charming commemorative plate. At the centre of this plate features the Coat of Arms which was originally printed on the programme at the Coronation in 1953.
The plate features the sumptuous rich purple colour which is magnificently achieved through use of a gold based pigment. Together with the 22 carat gold gilding, the resulting decoration and design on this souvenir piece is essentially all gold.
This plate was handmade, in England, following traditional methods, using fine bone English china, a material known worldwide for its fineness.
Not suitable for use in a dishwasher or microwave.
