Royal Mint Coin Set
Introducing a new collection, commissioned by Royal Mint, which truly capture British history through coinage.
This collection features magnificent coins commemorating and celebrating the people and charities that have shaped British history.
The collection consists of a coin produced in partnership with Royal Collection Trust. It pays tribute to the iconic royal residence in London, Buckingham Palace.
There is a coin marking 150 years since the birth of Sir Winston Churchill in 1874, a British Prime Minister who twice served in this position from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War, and then again from 1951 until 1955.
The third coin depicts The National Gallery, an iconic art gallery situated in the heart of London, and celebrates its continuous aim for encouraging all members of the public to enjoy art for the last 200 years.
The fourth coin is in partnership with Team Great Britain which truly captures the inspiration spread across the nation by the determination and dedication of those competing in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Lastly, is the coin produced in partnership with Lifeboats RNLI. Originating in 1824, RNLI commemorates 200 years of volunteers protecting hundreds of communities around the United Kingdom and Ireland through 24 hour search and rescue service. This is done through the use of lifeboats and modern stations which battle the elements to save lives.
