Edward's design was selected as the winning entry of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Emblem Competition, run in conjunction with the V&A Museum. The continuous line symbolizes Queen Elizabeth II's continuous reign as well as the font Perpetua, which means ‘forever’.
