Japan Exhibition Bamboo Brush Calligraphy Set

The Royal Collection holds some of the most significant examples of Japanese art and design in the western world. For the first time, highlights from this outstanding collection are brought together in a prestigious exhibition to tell the story of 300 years of diplomatic, artistic and cultural exchange between the British and Japanese royal and imperial families. This new collection is inspired by the rare pieces of porcelain and lacquer, embroidered screens and other articles displayed in this magnificent exhibition.

This handmade brush pen, uses the same technique of the Nara-brush, a brush produced in and around the cities of Nara and Yamatokoriyama, Japan. Crafted using long established manufacturing methods, this Bamboo brush pen writes with an ink in watercolour pigment.
