To commemorate the remarkable life and legacy of His Royal Highness, Duke of Edinburgh, Britain's longest-serving consort, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse will host special displays. The displays will explore The Prince's early life, naval career, his role as consort and his support for the sovereign at home and abroad.
To coincide with this special exhibition, Royal Collection Trust have introduced a magnificent collection inspired by His Royal Highness's wide-ranging patronages, associations and interests.
This gold plated bottle opener takes its shape from a horse-bit, from a horse's tack. A magnificent tribute to carriage driving which was one of The Duke's favourite leisure activities. This wonderful piece features Prince Philip's monogram.
