Commissioned by the Royal Collection to celebrate the marriage of HRH Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton (now Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince and Princess of Wales) on 29 April 2011. As Number 1, this set is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece with exceptional provenance, artistry, and royal significance.

Crafted in fine bone china, the set features gold and platinum detailing throughout. The laurel leaf motifs are a traditional symbol of honour, achievement, and enduring commitment, reinforcing both the commemorative purpose of the design and the long‑standing use of laurel in state and ceremonial art.

Each cup bears a single ornate initial on its exterior, finished in platinum and reflecting the refined aesthetic of the Royal Wedding’s official design. Inside, gold initials form an intertwined monogram, adding a more intricate decorative element to the interior of each cup.

Made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent using traditional methods unchanged for over 250 years, and finished by hand using 22 carat gold and platinum. English fine bone china is highly regarded around the world for its whiteness, fineness, delicacy, and durability.
