This first issue English fine bone china beaker formed part of the official commemorative china to celebrate the then HRH Prince William of Wales 21st birthday on 21 June 2003.

Decorated with embossed gold bands featuring a heraldic Welsh dragon motif and a framed cartouche containing the initials W W and coronet of HRH Prince William of Wales.

Most of the Royal Collection Limited Editions feature a "self‑burnished gold", chosen for its elegance, durability, and the refined finish it provides across the range. For the "William of Wales" Limited Edition Beaker, "best‑burnished gold" was used which has a noticeably higher gold content, giving the design greater depth, richness, and definition. In addition, the finishing process requires each section to be burnished entirely by hand using traditional burnishing sand, resulting in a finish of exceptional clarity and brilliance.

Made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent using traditional methods unchanged for over 250 years, and finished by hand using 22 carat gold. English fine bone china is highly regarded around the world for its whiteness, fineness, delicacy, and durability.
