A limited edition of 100.

This bear has been specially commissioned by Buckingham Palace from Merrythought, and is modelled on the uniform of The Blues and Royals, a regiment of the British Army and part of The Household Cavalry.

Formed in 1969, The Blues and Royals are the amalgamation of two well-known cavalry regiments, the Royal Horse Guards ("The Blues") and The Royal Dragoons ("The Royals"). Today, the Colonel in Chief of the Blues and Royals is Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Princess Royal. Their motto is 'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense'. When on State Ceremonial duties the Blues and Royals wear a dark blue state tunic, metal cuirass and a helmet with a red plume.

Merrythought has been hand-making teddy bears in their factory in Shropshire, England since 1930. The fourth generation family business is now the last remaining British manufacturer of teddy bears.

In addition to pure mohair plush made from the fleece of the Angora goat, the bear’s paws are made from pure wool felt and he features a nose and smile that has been carefully hand-embroidered with cotton thread.

Not suitable for children under 36 months.
