This first issue Limited Edition Dessert Plate was inspired by a dessert service presented by the people of Derby to the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George V and Queen Mary, to commemorate their marriage in 1893.

The elegant design faithfully reproduces details from the original service, featuring the intertwined initials of the Duke and Duchess of York beneath their coronet, framed by delicate floral swags and a graceful floral border. Richly embellished with hand-applied 22 carat gold, the decoration celebrates one of the most important royal weddings of the late Victorian era and reflects the refinement and craftsmanship of the original commission.

At the centre of the plate, the historic royal monogram is beautifully displayed and surrounded by the intricate decorative border inspired by the original Derby service. The combination of delicate floral ornamentation and luxurious gilding showcases the artistry associated with fine English ceramics and makes this piece a distinguished addition to any collection.

This collectable dessert plate is made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the original home of English potteries. Using fine bone English china, it has been beautifully crafted using traditional methods unchanged for over 250 years and carefully finished by hand using 22 carat gold. Presented in the original luxury handmade Buckingham Palace Limited Edition gift box with the Number 1 certificate. Each piece is stamped with the prestigious Limited Edition Number 1.
