George IV Tea Towel

George IV Tea Towel

  • Description

To coincide with the opening of the George IV: Art & Spectacle at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Royal Collection Trust has commissioned this colourful and bright souvenir range, inspired by the magnificence and extensive art collection of George IV.

Belonging to this range is a cotton tea towel which is inspired by the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. The image was the watercolour design produced by Nicholas Morel and George Seddon who went into partnership in 1826 to decorate George IV's new Private Apartments in Windsor Castle. Originally known as The Library, the Green Drawing Room was to be the most spectacular of the King's reception rooms.

    100% cotton.
