Teacups and Saucers
The tankard shape is a traditional form of drinkware dating back to the 16th century. This tankard takes the classic shape and is decorated with a design inspired by the pomp and pageantry of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953. Commissioned by Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. At the centre of the mug is an opulent Coat of Arms which is from the heraldic bearings of the coaches. The beautiful elements around the edges at the top and the bottom of the tankard reflect the silk damask banners of the State Trumpets which heralded the moment of crowning at Westminster Abbey.
Following traditional methods, this commemorative tankard is made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, in England using fine bone English china and delicately finished with 22 carat gold.
Not suitable for use in a dishwasher or microwave.
