  • Description

Queen Elizabeth's Canadian Maple-Leaf Brooch was given to Queen Elizabeth by George VI, to mark the Royal tour to Canada in 1939. It was first seen on The Queen's lapel during the Atlantic crossing in the liner Empress of Australia, and appeared on many occasions throughout the tour. The Queen wore it frequently thereafter, sometimes as a hat-badge, and loaned it to Princess Elizabeth for her first visit to Canada in 1951. It was inherited by The Queen in 2002. Her Majesty loaned the brooch to The Duchess of Cambridge for her first visit to Canada with the Duke in July 2011.

Set with sparkling crystals into a palladium-treated base metal.
