A charming and lavish edition of the delightful and previously unpublished miniature tale, J. Smith by the cartoonist 'Fougasse'.  This enchanting story of a fairy stranded in 1920s London is a reproduction of one of the 200 miniature books created specially for the Library of Queen Mary's Dolls' House at Windsor Castle in 1922, and originally measured just 3.9cm x 3cm.  It was the contribution of one of the foremost cartoonists of the day, 'Fougasse', whose witty drawings for the 'Careless Talk Costs Lives' posters were some of the most memorable images of World War II.

J. Smith is a work of true genius - in miniature.  Reproduced here for the first time in their entirety, the tongue-in-cheek verse and timeless illustrations make this exquisite book a unique gift for children and adults everywhere.
