Buckingham Palace Knot Brooch

Description

Acquired by Queen Mary from Garrard in 1932, Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Brooch was the largest and liveliest in outline of the six bow brooches in her collection. It was bequeathed to The Queen in 1953. Her Majesty has regularly worn the brooch on formal occasions, notably for Princess Margaret's wedding in 1960 and for the wedding of Prince William of Wales in 2011. Its large scale also makes in particularly suitable as a shoulder fastening for the riband of an order of chivalry.

Set with sparkling crystals in white gold-plated metal.
