Buckingham Palace Leaf Brooch
£75.00
Buckingham Palace Leaf Brooch

Description

Like the Lily Brooch, Queen Elizabeth's Palm-Leaf Brooch was made by Cartier using some of the diamonds from Queen Elizabeth's collection of loose stones held by the firm, and was a special order made under the auspices of A.W. Foreman, the Assistant Managing Director of Cartier, with whom Queen Elizabeth usually dealt. The clip of brooch - something of a Cartier speciality - allows versatile usage of the jewel: on the corsage, on the edge of the neckline or on a hat. The brooch was inherited by The Queen from her mother in 2002, and it has been worn a number of times since.

Set with sparkling crystals into palladium.

8 x 5 cm.
