Longest Reigning Monarch Teacup and Saucer

£65.00

On Wednesday 9th September 2015, Queen Elizabeth II became Britain’s longest reigning monarch, surpassing the record of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria. This range of English fine bone china has been commissioned exclusively by Buckingham Palace to celebrate this great and historic date and is inspired by the Coat of Arms featured on the original programme of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953. The sumptuously rich purple colour on the china is achieved through use of a gold based pigment. Together with the 22 carat gold gilding, the resulting decoration and design on the piece is essentially all gold. Made entirely by hand by our skilled artisans in Stoke-on-Trent using traditional methods unchanged for over 250 years, using English fine bone china, highly regarded around the world for its whiteness, fineness and delicacy. Finished with 22 carat gold. Not suitable for use in a dishwasher or microwave. 6.5 x 9 x 12 cm including handle. Saucer diameter 16 cm. Teacup holds 200 ml.
